Kentucky School Safety and Resiliency Act (KSSRA) was developed because Kentucky is experiencing a dramatic increase in school violence and safety concerns. The Department of Justice STOP grant is designed to assist districts with resources and supports to better meet these challenges.  

Project Goals

  • Implement Terrace Metrics Resiliency Survey Tool
  • The Interconnected Systems Framework (ISF) will provide structure and process to integrate Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) and School Mental Health (SMH) within targeted districts. 
  • Complete online ISF professional learning modules with SEL resources and training for participating and dissemination to other state schools. 

Targeted districts: Menifee County Schools,  Augusta Independent, Boyd County Schools and Carter County Schools.
